Liam Cagney is an Irish writer and musicologist whose work has been described by the Irish Times as ‘visionary’. His books include Berghain Nights (Reaktion, 2025) and Gérard Grisey and Spectral Music (Cambridge, 2024). He writes criticism in places like The Guardian, The TLS, The Spectator and DJ Mag and he holds a PhD from City St. George’s, University of London. He lives in Berlin.
