
Dr Liam Cagney is a writer, educator and public musicologist. He is a leading thinker of digital-age music, with three acclaimed books to date published by Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press, and Reaktion. His work spans literature and academia.
Liam is represented as an author by United Agents, and he is a regular presence in Irish national media, from RTE Arena to the Irish Times. Wide-ranging as an arts journalist, he also writes for the likes of Guardian, DJ Mag, the Spectator, the TLS, and the Telegraph and is a member of the UK Critics’ Circle.
An engaging teacher and public speaker, Liam has held positions at different universities, most recently as Course Leader for the MA in Popular Music Practice at BIMM Berlin. He is a highly motivated administrator and experienced team manager with a solutions-oriented mindset and commercial savvy.
